THE FLOORS ARE DONE! Casey nailed in the last piece yesterday, put up the remaining baseboards, caulked them and touched up nail holes. I caught him in mid victory jump last night! We are so hapy to put our house back together now!
It looks great! Yahoo! Now you will have beautiful floors and no mess from renovation during Christmas! Good job Casey...and Andrea (for being patient. I know it is no fun having things torn up around you). It sure is nice when a project is completed!
Your house looks amazing! I'm so impressed that you guys took on that challenge yourselves! Way to go. I just read your last post too, and yeah... any knowledge I may have gained over my lifetime is thoroughly covered in cobwebs and dust if not completely forgotten. Husbands and children definitely make college struggles worth it, though. There should be a SAT for Moms to show how much we HAVE learned over the course of our married lives. How to get stains out of clothes, how to redo floors, how to soothe a fussy baby, how to keep kids attention during family scripture study.... (The latter, by the way is one I'm still trying to figure out.) anyway, long comment. Sorry. Have a great day!
It looks beautiful. I have to say I am amazed that you got everything done. Usually people leave the baseboards off for several months. I also love the paint color. I think you are going to love the wood floors. Just think how much you will save on carpet cleaning.
