Birthday fun

My Jillian is 10! I can hardly believe it! To celebrate, we took her out to dinner at Red Robin after attending a baptism on Saturday night. Casey got her a balloon and some flowers. We left the other girls at home (it's so nice to have an almost 12 year old to babysit!) so that we could have some alone time with Jillian.

The free sundae that came with an "embarrassing" Happy Birthday song. Jillian practically hid under the table as the Red Robin crew sang to her.

For Family Night on Monday, we had her official party. I made her a flower garden cake (as she requested) and had such a blast making all those frosting flowers. The Boorens and Walburgers also came over and she opened presents and ate her cake....a simple birthday, but very fun!

Here's the cake...Uncle Jared said it looked like a Kentucky Derby hat. Since it was Derby weekend, we can say that's what it was meant to look like!

  1. Happy Birthday Jillian! She's a beautiful girl, and I can hardly believe she's 10 already. =) It sounds like it was a wonderful birthday!
